Pimpserver.com redirecting overseas traffic
 

Pimpserver is redirecting my overseas gallery traffic to http://www.traffimagic.com/comein/PreClick?cmid=WIP1FMMPBPE&directlink=TKCTG&cmbid=& cmowner=

I'm in Australia and when I checked my gallerys I was redirected to http://www.traffimagic.com/comein/PreClick?cmid=WIP1FMMPBPE&directlink=TKCTG&cmbid=& cmowner=

then I tried it with a US proxy server and the gallerys loaded with out being redirected, is this normal for a free host to hi-jack your traffic?
If you have sites on there you should check to see if they are redirecting your traffic

This is so not correct! Im tired of that lame excuse everytime someone caught a free host bullshitting around.
They OFFER a free service and we display their banners in return. The deal is already made. THEY break the rules. Your excuse works if you use terra.es and your traffic gets redirected, then you can say you get what you pay for...
Somehow every free host gets away with cheating.

Alot of them type of Freehosts Redirect traffic and then within a year the company Shuts the host down cuase they arent getting traffic anymore and they are banned everywhere . You gotta stick with the more stable freehosts

The only things in there terms about redirecting is for jap traffic, but I'm in Australia not japan,

Is there such a thing as a free host that does'nt steal traffic,
and there headers and footers dont take up half the page,
and if you get to much traffic they wont close your account and redirect traffic

The reason why the redirect non us traffic is that most cc companies dont like ppl's cc's from other countries....

With redirecting jap traffic that is fair enough but when they state in there terms that it will only be jap traffic they should stick to it, and I am moving all my stuff from there servers, as soon as I can find a decent free host.

European, Australian and Asian cards are accepted by processors, not just cards from the US, so redirecting "overseas traffic" is more about an inability to make sales, rather than a good business decision.

Let me ask this question, if you were paying for the traffic, and it was not converting for you, would you redirect it versus paying for the bandwidth it generates ?? If you say yes, then why should a freehost be any different ?? Would you really use a freehost that let's you know that they are going to redirect any unprofitable traffic in an effort to squeeze some money out of it ?? HardcoreHosting, I agree with you 100%. Can you imagine the amount of worthless traffic Pimpserver and some of the other Big Free Hosts Get. I bet its several 100k or more and I know I wouldn't want to pay for that bandwidth. There just trying to make ends meet and stay open for all of us to use, and this bad traffic wouldn't make any money anyway for the gallery maker, so I don't really think its so bad of them.
I've read here some threads from Wizdom, Lightning, Oscar and some others about all the cheating that goes on from webmasters on their free hosts, Maybe it's about time for some of the free host critics here to lighten up on the free hosts just a little bit.
