I didn't shoot these, these are from her portfolio. I've never met her, just emailed her through her agent. I'll be shooting her with a professional digital camera.

Dude! Quit using other photographers work (in this case it's Ken Marcus's) to advertise your content production. Grow some balls, set up an interview with the model, take some good pictures of her, and post them here. You are a chicken shit or just a shitty shooter. Ken Marcus is a friend of mine & she will be PISSED when she finds out that you are using his pix without his permission for your own advertising.

AlienQ, I don't mean to pick a fight with you over this, but my experience with POV has been one in which he has come after me without foundation. He has never won any of these disputes. Maybe he's just trying to win one to save his ego, who knows?

If so, everyone in this part of the industry (including POV) better start changing their operations. I know for a fact that POV sells models to buyers using pictures from their portfolios. So, I decided to post portfolio pictures in here and ask about interest, and I clearly state that these are NOT my pictures, they are from her portfolio. What is the difference between that and a submission?

You should think through what you're saying. I did not remove Ken's logo, they are posted here precisely as they appear on her portfolio.

Just needed to find that. POV actually solicits pictures of models from them taken by others and uses them to sell his work. FOR SHAME!!!

I myself take pride in everything I shoot, and take pride in presenting what I do EXACTLY to my clients. The ability to shoot is not a given, its an art and thats a part of selling the whole package.

Everyone works differently but personally I do not use others people work to spark interest in any of my productions in any shape or form.

Take your punches and take a look what some experienced guys are trying to tell you, forget the demeanor it is irrelevant. They are giving ya sound advice.

Well, I think that people in here have the impression that I've never shot anything. This is FAR from the truth. However, with a model that I've never worked with before, I simply use her portfolio exactly as it is intended to be used - to display to buying customers her value as a model. So what if I have never worked with her? If she was local to me, I would MUCH prefer to use my own test shots, and that is what I usually do. But that's not always possible, as you yourself must know. I seriously don't see you or any individual photographer flying 3000 miles JUST to get a few test shots.

In fact, I recently paid a model $600 for 3 hours of test shooting. I don't go around using other people's work when I can help it, and when I do so, it is from their portfolios, as in this case.

Assuming these pics were provided by the model you've done nothing wrong except post these poor images on, of all places GFY. I don't give a shit if Mr. playboy himself shot these pics, they are nothing short of HORRIBLE. Hopefully you can improve on her portfolio. She's a very different model when she's able to convey some personality. Blank, brooding or bored just doesn't cut it.
