NFL Playoffs - Who Will Win and Will They Cover the Spread?

Saturday....
Jets +9
Pitts

Rams +7
Falcons

Sunday.....
Minnesota +8.5
Philly

Indy +2.5
N. E.

I LOVE the Rams straight up. That's your 5 star diamond bet :)

So, post your winners and let's see who the NFL pimp is.

Titty Fucker 01-14-2005 11:12 PM

WTF? Is Indy the underdog?

Peyton will tear up that D without Ty Law

Horny Dude 01-14-2005 11:29 PM

Colts are going to win this time around and then move onto the SB and win! :pimp

wes 01-14-2005 11:31 PM

I think those are great Picks but I have to disagree with the Jets, Pitt game. I think Pitt is going to shut them down. I also am taking the Eagles -9

Whatever line you like, I'm thinking these are going to be 4 great games this weekend, couldn't have asked for much better matchups (though I'd like to have seen the Saints still around as I'll be in NO SuperBowl Sunday).

Rams/Atl: The Rams are a mediocre team this year but at least they can light it up and Vick is always great to watch.

Indy vs. Pats: Classic in the making. I doubt Law being out will have as much of an impact as people think, but this is a rivalry now. Peyton will certainly have a better game than last year.

Pitt/Jets: Take the under on this one. Pitt is one heck of a team to watch and their defence isn't *that* far off the Steel Curtain days.

Minny/Philly will also be a great game with Culpepper vs. McNabb, even w/o Owens. McNabb's scramble and deep pass earlier this year was one of the best plays i've ever seen a QB make.

Anyhow, I'm settling in for a great weekend ... working late tonight so I don't have to Sat/Sun :)

Damn you all like the Rams. I think the turnovers will kill St. Louis as Atlanta's defense is about 10 times that of Seattle's D.

Atlanta is actually my strongest pick for the weekend.

Turnovers + Martz willingness to NOT run the football = Atlanta big win.

My other picks:

Brady and NE over the Colts.
Jets in a shocker might knock off Pitt, at least lose it close enough to cover.
Philly rolls over Minny and covers easy.

Yes, Seattle's defense is not so good, I think ranked like 26 but Atlanta is like 14th and the Rams defense isn't so bad at 17. Bulger is playing awesome football and the Rams offense is solid, way better than Atlanta. Not to mention its indoors on turf. The Rams don't need to run the football, they will pass all over them.

We shall see. How about a bet for traffic?

Evil1 01-15-2005 01:07 AM

None of this matters, in the end it will be the patriots.. as fucking usual.

lanclandesigns 01-15-2005 01:19 AM

Jets

Rams

If - and a big "if" - they get past the Colts they then have to go into Pittsburgh ... i wouldn't hand them their SuperBowl rings just yet.

Series 01-15-2005 02:41 AM

I took...

Pitt -8.5+1.5 = -7
Atl -7

haven't thought about Sunday yet.

TheSpaceBulldog 01-15-2005 02:54 AM

Here it is again, not sure where the fiznuck my last post to this thread went but...FUCK it...

Pittsburgh-9.5 and the over o/u 34.5
Falcons-6.5 and the under o/u 48 (yeah I changed my mind on this one, Rams on the road...don't think so...
Philly-9.5 and over(change of heart on the o/u)...
New England -1.5 and the over... INDY will put ponts on the board this weekend, buuuuuuutttt with INDY's 28t/29th ranked defense so will New England put points on the board...Also just because T. Law is out don't trip he's been out for some time now and still the PAT's find a way to pull a rabbit from out of their buttocks...LMAO... :1orglaugh

flashfire 01-15-2005 03:00 AM

Shit almost forgot somethin' if you're talking spreads and stuff, it'd be a good idea (if yer feeling queesy) to make a strong four pick, tease it by 6 or 6.5 points on both the o/u and the S/U(str8 up) and drop $150 on it...Balla, Balls... :thumbsup

King Adam 01-15-2005 11:02 AM

Anyone who wants to gamble this weekend for joins or traffic, hit me up. This way its legal gambling ... sorta :)

I Like Chocolate 01-15-2005 11:09 AM

rams, eagles, indy and pitt

DX 01-15-2005 11:10 AM

all four home teams will win.

swoop 01-15-2005 11:15 AM

So far all I have is Philly -8.5 and the Rams +7. Haven't decided on the AFC games yet.

King Adam 01-15-2005 01:50 PM

I can't believe that no one wants to gamble for traffic or joins. Come on now, someone has to want to get a little excitement going.

Someone hit me up

fr8 01-15-2005 03:33 PM

Sorry folks, but the Rams are just an 8-8 team that looked like crap for most of the year, save a few wins over an overrated Seattle team. This was a slam dunk, thank you mister book, easy pick.

Jets should have won the game, but at least OT guaranteed the cover.

A good Saturday for me. Let's hope Sunday rolls as nice.

Just need the Pats now for the Quadfecta. :winkwink:

Should have wheeled some parlays on these, but at least played them straight up with a handful of teasers.

Go Brady. :)

pxxx 01-16-2005 02:23 PM

Go eagles, eagles all the way.
