I think I'm watching one of the BEST movies in a LONG TIME!
 

It's a movie called "'City Of God". It's about children growing up in dangerous parts of Rio de Janeiro. It's in Portuguese so it's subtitled. Man this movie is fucking great. This gang of kids are robbing a whorehouse right now.

The cinematography is great. The music is great. Excellent editing. It doesn't look like a low budget movie at all. It's a fabulous movie and I've only watched 15 minutes of it so far.

City of God was one of the very best films I saw last year. EXTREMELY GOOD - i'm not sure yet, but i think it will probably end up in my top 10 all time favorites.

I had no idea that Portuguese was so different from Spanish. I can't catch anything similiar except 'por que' and 'policia'...The rest of the shit sounds completely different from spanish.

Watched Big Fish couple of nights ago, one of the best movies I've seen.

VERY old. It was my grandmother's table. It was around way before I was even born. (And I'm 33) It's still in good shape too.

C got hers from her parents, who bought it in about 1952. Nice table dude.

I haven't seen it, but everyone has recommended it.

my buddy bought that and said its fucking amazing, i saw the original documentary which was incredible, can't wait to check it out.

I saw it back when it hit theatres and it was a great movie. That's before I moved to central america, where I can see that stuff on the streets for free now.

Hmmm...I haven't seen "City of God." I'll try to rent it when I get the chance.

My Wife's from Rio, she loves that movie.
