Making thumbs of ASF files?
 

How do you guys do this?

I normally open the movie in VirtualDub, then hit "alt+print screen" but VB doesn't load ASF files...it makes an error when I try it.

And using "alt+print screen" with windows media players makes really bad screenshots...

Anyone have a clue?

... I think picviewer can do that, but I am not sure. have you also tried thumbspro ?

Have you tried just print screen (without ALT) with windows media player ? I tried and it worked well.

Then you go to photoshop or other graphics program and cut just the video.

That doesnt work all the time though.

Its a tough one. Try opening your vid and another thing in front. So the vid is in the background and then print screen.
