Are you a Procrastinator???

Misery loves company. I am looking to find someone as bad as I am.

In the last 2 months I ran out of gas TWICE from putting off stopping.

I paid for my drivers license to be renewed but never went to
take the picture, that was 2 years ago....the list goes on.

for the most part I wait till the last minute for everything!!!! I just can not change.

Napolean 01-14-2005 12:51 PM

i guess i am, ill think of some examples of what i put off... later on

BitterPen 01-14-2005 12:51 PM

I was gonna post in this thread a minute ago... but I couldn't find the energy to do it.

I am the worlds WORST procrastinator. This is my biggest flaw. :thumbsup

I don't run out of gas, but my drivers license went out and I didn't get it renewed for like 2 years.

hehehe

For my friends and family I hand out a standard answer when bugged about something I am procrastinating : " I am looking into it"

I was looking into hiring a trainer for about 5 years before one day this september I just hired one.
I think I need a personal assistant!!!!!!!!

Karupted Charles 01-14-2005 01:05 PM

Nope and I see no reason for such.

Do you like it when the bus is late (punctuality and procrastination all fall under the same category ... time)?

LOL ... at the least you take care of your commitments.

Rorschach 01-14-2005 02:22 PM

i have found the way out of chronic procrastination is to master the skill of being able to write a good list and then just make yourself do it.

Good call. Actual "to-do" and goal lists and a real business plan do help.

Too Funny....That describes me to a "T". If I make a commitment to someone....I keep it! But if I need to get something done for myself....It can always wait till later.

then you haven't mastered writing a good list... one that suits your working style and personality.

you've got to abandon what you think you should be doing (but for whatever reason you aren't, and instead you're feeling bad about not doing it), and focus on just doing what you realistically are going to do, and feel good about your successes and build momentum from there. You have to exercise that lazy mental muscle to force yourself to at least get started (and then the momentum of actually getting into it and getting stuff done will take over).

flashfire 01-14-2005 03:20 PM

I am a horrible procrastinator...I dont pay my bills until the last day if then (eventhough I have the money)

VideoPass_Alex 01-14-2005 03:20 PM

sometimes.

i try hard to kep up with my stuff though.

i hate being behind.

Rorschach 01-14-2005 03:22 PM

and once you have a master list, i find it really good to have little lists of the things i'm doing right now to keep me on track... eg. it might only have 4 five minute jobs on it to get started, but you can whack through them with purpose and then feel good about what you've done... and that inspires you to get to the nex thing.
