Why do people think the Colts will beat the Patriots this weekend?

The Colts are a very pretty team however and have some nice individual records. :)

People think the Colts will beat the Patriots because of one simple fact: The Patriots secondary is decimated. But it's been decimated all year to the tune of 14 wins / 2 losses.

I hope they win anyways. I am taking the Colts and the points.

If the game is called anything like the opening week's game Seattle v St. Louis, then the Patriots have no chance to stop Manning and the passing game. There are too many weapons and as Evil1 already said, the Pats have no secondary to speak of. In the opening game, Indy lost by a field goal and that was when the Patriots had their best defensive back (Law) who will be out this weekend. It'll be a close game, and I am hoping the game isn't decided by the boys in stripes. I pick Indy by 10, even on the slower stadium surface they've been purposely let stay in the elements.

Colts are playing Good Football...everyone is doing there job and the defense has been stepping up..somewhat..but the Patriots are the champs and they always find a way to win...but they have some key injuries which could make a big difference and

I think the colts will win. I agree with much that has been posted here. The Pats secondary is decimated. Yes it has been most of the year and they still only lost two games, but they haven't played an offense like the colts. The colts offense of week 1 is not nearly as good as it is now. In the first game this year they colts lost on a missed field goal and two fumbles in the red zone. So you could say the pats got lucky in week one. I think belicheck and the pats have had mannings number for a long time and like a boy a named sue, he is finally tired of being beat on and will rise to the occasion.

It should be a good game.

regardless of the outcome I think it will be a great game, Im hoping for the Colts to win, Im tired of the Pats and they are in the AFC East with my Dolphins...(please spare the Dolphins suck comments, Im still recouperating!) so Im against the Jets and the Pats this weekend... :upsidedow

cory i beleive its because the pats have a banged up secondary..if u look at the reason why the colts lost last time they faced the pats was because ty law ahd 3 interceptions off of manning and ty law is ouw..Im prettypositive seymour is out also for the pats...manning is gonna pick them apart this week :)

Banged up secondary or not it wouldn't matter.
After last years playoff game between the Colts and Pats the NFL changed the rules because the Colts receivers were getting mugged my the Pats DB's.

Now they're flagging almost any contact past 5 yards which means the Pats will have a hard time playing man coverage.

Its the Colts game to lost IMO

first the colts only lost by 3 the last 2 times they played...the beginning of this season, they lost by 3 and then last playoff game when they played the pats they were stopped at the goaline to beat the pats....This time pats wont be so lucky trust me :)

I think Pats win this one in a close game. A vinatieri field goal at the buzzer sounds about right. Hard to see a blowout either way on this one.

Never underestimate Bellicheck and his defensive schemes. He may give Manning fits (like Baltimore did for 2.5 quarters). :1orglaugh

This is not a game about who is fancy and has an mvp trophy and a daddy that is an idiot, this is a game about winning. The Pats are the type of team that will find a way to win. They have that type of composure.

The Colts can't win in New England. They need turf and cheerleaders on their side in cute little cowgirl outfits.

Steelers are all quality. They have the best shot at beating NE because they are a grid-iron team. The rookie QB means little to them because they are well rounded.

New England wins (for now), but we shall prophesize on the week of.
