I Need to make a bootable CD, not a bootable floppy disk but a bootable CD!!!

I've got this friend's PC and I need to be able to boot into DOS only but the stupid thing doesnt have a FLOPY DRIVE! So i need to burn a bootable disk onto a CD somehow!

Hi, you can easily make a bootable CD with Nero or use WinISO (for this you should have the bootdisk files- which you can easily get at www.bootdisk.com :) )

Hope this helps

cheers

Edit: Pff was beaten by 2min...gezz :/

I tried downloading some of their boot-disks and they are all .exe files which ask for you to put a floopy-disk in the drive, I dont have a floppy drive ;(

1º - go to bootdisk and download a bootdisk

2º - use WinISO and instead "Make bootable CD from floppy" choose "Load information from file"

est voilá! :)

the win98 bootdisk that i download is a .exe file, it doesn't give me a choice saying "make bootable CD from floopy" it just says inster floppy!

Depending on the computer, Esc or and F key being pressed should get you into the BIOS setup. Once there you can select which drive to be the boot. Select the corresponding drive for the CD. Hope this helps

forgot to add pressing the appropriate key during startup.... :winkwink:
