Anyone been to South Africa?
 

Going there next month. Cape Town for sure, thinking about doing the whole game reserve tourist shit? Any recommendations? Heard one called Nottens is pretty good.

Anyway, let me know where to go and what to do.

Never been, but many friends have been and all loved it. Avoid Johannesburg I beleive its now taken over the record for most murders per poulation. Like I say Ive never been but Ive heard it can be a bit grim

I lived in South Africa for about nine years, heavy fucking place. I'd have to agree, stay far away from Jo'burg, pretty dangerous.

As far as Safaris go, if nothing's changed, Kruger National Park is your best bet. It's the biggest game park in SA.

If you go to Kruger Park, there's a place near that called Sun City. It's basically a resort type of thing, very tourist-friendly, five star accomodations, the whole bit.

I was born and raised in Cape Town, it is the shit, I lived there for 20 years and lived here in San Diego for 11 now but I still go back every year.

It was way more fun 6 years ago when the exchange rate was 13 to 1, I pimped for 2 weeks on just 5 grand.

If you are going next month it is still summer and hot, try to stay in Camps Bay. That is where all the action is the Bay Hotel is sick, my boy runs a restaurant right in front called Perengues with sick seafood.

The beach is right there and it is all topless baby, hot, hot woman.

Chicks dig the american accent but the money there is sick guys so don't play who has the biggest dick when you are out, just be cool because there is diamond, plastic surgery, and construction money there that have hundreds of millions.

2 years ago I was invited to the New Years eve party of Sol Kerzner of Sun International of the many hotels they own Atlantis in one of them. He owns his own mountain in Hout Bay, seriousely.

The had Roll's taking you up to the guest house where the party was at which was 6500 sq foot. The main house is 3 times the size, his sons and daughters are wild and love to party. I actually got roofied at that party when I drank from the wrong glass, fucking scary night.

I highly recommend everyone visit Cape Town, but I do warn you it is as dangerous as they say it is.
