Or use it in their own posts.. specially if they just dissed someone..

I laugh after everything I say to people in public on the boards whatever. For instance "whats up fuck face LMAO" I guess its habit and I don't give a fuk

I would have to question that one only because allot of people at work that post we catch them laughing out loud all the time.

Maybe to signify that a post will contain a joke or that what they said was meant to be humorous... perhaps so that what they say is not taken out of context because it is hard to interpret someones intention on the internet?

lol has become as popular as the comma or period. when i put "lol" on something, it's usually out of habit. lol :)

I hate "lol". I only use it when I actually do, in fact, laugh out loud.
For all other cases when I need to express that I found something humourous, I just go "haha".

With so many people reading a given statement, many interpretations can be made of the meaning / feeling of the statement, or the emotion of the statement. So I think that LOL is an easy way to say, hey, just kidding man.

I don't think I've ever used "lol" once in my life.... well, other than to make statements such as this one. I figure if people can't figure out to laugh at what I said, I don't need to try to convince them with something like "lol" at the end.
