Is CCBill scrubbing extra hard?

I've noticed the last two weeks have been really harsh these last two weeks.

Should I look at my marketing again, or is it happening for other people too?

SleazyDream 01-13-2005 12:18 AM

why is it when someone's program doesn't sell the FIRST thing they always do is blaim the processor?

Sleazy, this isn't the first stop. I'm examining my marketing, my traffic, and also the processor. I'm down across the board on the CCbill, and have heard noises from others that they're seeing the same thing.

venus 01-13-2005 12:29 AM

has your traffic changed?
are you still sending the same?

remember x-mas just ended, people have to pay off credit cards and x-mas bills, taxes are comming up. things like that affect signups.

Welcome to GFY, where every sponsor, "Shaves", even if they don't.

Hey, I have no beef with you, but please read my post.
I simply asked if they were SCRUBBING.

Did I mention shaving? No.

Did I say CCBILL SUCKS! No.

I posted a rational question, and it could do without kneejerk reponses from jerks.

In reply to the other questions, clicks have remained constant at about 50k, but the ratio (for all sponsors, about 10 in my ccbill folio) have dropped from 1:90 to 1:1500.

I'd heard a few sponsors saying that they've had heaps of declines lately, just wondering. I'm more than happy to admit fautl and change my marketting, etc etc if necessary, but I'm not happy to be taken out of context.

Can't confirm it. Last two weeks are outstanding with ccbill.

AZNNC 01-13-2005 08:00 AM

I'm seeing similar stats as to last month right now. Alltho I'm fairly new to ccbill. I can understand JAN being the worst month of the year tho, like someone else said not too many people want to spend money in January. Can anyone recollect if it was a similar case last year?

I am a small site(meaning I do not run campaigns and stuff, I just add content daily and pray my affiliates are doing their job), nothing compared to you big dogs. But my signups almost doubled the last couple of weeks. Instead of getting 2-5 a day. I am constantly getting 10 new signups. CCBill is always up and down for me, no pun intended. But for me this is the best I have seen it. :2 cents:

It's a fair question to ask. If the program doesn't have a secondary processor then a certain amount of surfers won't be able to signup because their card(s) get blocked / scrubbed. If scrubbing is set higher / more strict then that would simply mean that more people would be blocked.

Christmas was a little slow but right afterwards sales rocketed.
The last couple weeks have been most excellent.

Record sales from direct marketing efforts and affiliates both.
We had very few declines, as always. :thumbsup

Same here yesterday was my worst day in well over a year, yesterday "Form Submission %" was down to 4% which is insanely low and has been low for the last few days. Oh well what can you do, time to move over to a merchant account.
