6.8 Earthquake in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean

WTF? Nearly a 7.0 in the Atlantic Ocean. This is seriously not a good sign.

On the map the red circles are all today's major quakes. The yellows are within the past 14 days.

It really does look like the tetonic plates are crashing way way more than the norm.

Maybe he is just more in tune with the living Earth.

Like those elephants.

So if you see KRL running for the hills, you know what to do. :)

Crazy ass shit, and I dont think it is normal for a 6.8 to happen every week in the Atlantic ocean.

Peaches 01-12-2005 06:55 PM

In 2004 there were 136 6.0-6.9 earthquakes. No, not every day, but an average of every 3rd day ;)

Head 01-12-2005 07:00 PM

This is not real good.

Pornwolf 01-12-2005 07:00 PM

I am not worried, I live 28 miles inland and with Fla underwater that puts me on beach front should this happen.

How is that for real estate planning?

Cory W 01-12-2005 09:37 PM

Where did you get this info?

The Daily Show said nothing about this.

Are you sure?

cold_ice 01-12-2005 09:41 PM

Shit I just want it to stop raining in Cali.

Rantan 01-12-2005 09:43 PM

odd, portland oregon is in some kind of happy bubble. the rest of the surrounding area has been hit with snow and rain and such, and we've been having nice weather...

Napolean 01-12-2005 09:44 PM

i wouldnt think a 6.8 would be capable of doing much... but im no scientist either

werre there any other tsunamis from all those aftershocks?

I have to ask, why is it not a good sign?

And how is it that you are always the first to know these things anyway?

A 6.8 is deadly.

Enough to destroy major buildings and take a lot of lives.

Northridge was first calculated as a 6.8 I believe.

I was sunny and bright here the last 2 days . . . I wasn't even sure what the fire in the sky was when I went out yesterday morning.

They were showing that on the news tonight. The disturbance even a single earth quake makes is amazing. Mother Nature truly is our "daddy"

The Sky is falling as the world spins outa control! there are 20 full moons as the plates are shifting - more disasters to hit soon.

I think it will be a gradual rising of the sea levels, forcing us to rebuild our cities 20 to 30 miles inland so you might be on the beach and downtown as well :winkwink:
