I'm a prime example. What's worse is we hate to try shit on. So about 1/5 of the crap I buy doesn't even fit. It's a risk yes, but I've started to try on the more expensive crap lately because I just have piles of clothes that are useless. I will be donating it all to charity though, I've already started sorting through it. We're also too damn lazy to do a return, driving to a store to return a shirt is unproductive. Then, after 14-21 days, when the return policy is expired, it's too late anyways. But yes, we are lazy.

I dont do it, I fucking hate that. It's stupid but I'll rather buy a new one

Nah, I think that is more of a fronter's (wannabe movie star) issue, whether male or female -- they do not want to be seen as being 'cheap' or thrift so they do not do returns or exchanges.

I have no problem taking something I purchased back to the store, I do not know the person on the other end of the counter nor would I care if I did.

mindoza 01-12-2005 03:53 PM

You got that right..Today during lunch I returned for my guy a dvd he already had that he got on christmas. What he does is brings it with him and conviently leaves it at my place then ask me to return it the day after he leaves it....Like I have not caught on or something!!!!

That totally applys to me...I mean I have to be seriously pissed to go to a store return/exchange something, not the type of situation I enjoy (specially when the store people try to be smartasses...)

I hate it, and that has nothing to do with it. Returning shit is just a pain in the ass. I have a TV I bought from Fry's electronics that I wanted to take back and never did. I just wanted a bigger one once I got it home and they have a no questions asked 30 day policy, but I never got around to it. Every time I go in that store the return line is 5 times longer than the checkout line. I think it's all by design.

I exchange girlfriends.

Many of them are faulty.

dunefield 01-12-2005 04:09 PM

We dont like asking for directions either.

erehwon 01-12-2005 04:27 PM

I'm one of those guys that enjoys returns, it gives me the opportunity to work on my social engineering skills. You can't let that skill get rusty. :winkwink:

Entropy 01-12-2005 04:28 PM

Taking shit back sucks because it involves standing in line.

Hell no... I would rather have it sit in my closet un worn for 10 years then have to return something :)

shermo 01-12-2005 04:38 PM

Thanks for reminding me. I have about 6 pairs of Hollister jeans that I need to return. That's what I get for not trying them on!

Maybe I'll have my girl do it for me. :1orglaugh

ztik 01-12-2005 04:41 PM

I have closet full or shirts and other shit that I have never worn. Like it in the store then took it home and decided I didn't like it.

I'd rather re-gift it then taking the time to exchange it. Sad but true.
