More Spam Arrests... ?
Im sure this was posted already but just in the slight case it was not:
FTC moves to stop ads for X-rated spammers Claiming a victory against X-rated spam, the Federal Trade Commission late Tuesday won an order to shut down illegal Internet advertising for six companies accused of profiting from sexually explicit e- mail. A judge granted the commission's request for preliminary injunctions against the companies, their executives and an affiliate, which would last the length of the FTC's civil suit against them. The FTC says the defendants violated federal laws regulating unsolicited commercial e- mail, commonly known as spam. The Nevada companies named in the FTC complaint were Global Net Solutions Inc., Open Space Enterprises Inc., Southlake Group Inc. and Reflected Networks Inc. Also named in the complaint were Global Net Ventures Ltd. and Wedlake Ltd.. More links: http://www.internetnews.com/ec-news/article.php/3457841 http://www.nytimes.com/2005/01/12/te...gy/12porn.html |
