Looking to spend up to $800, what would you guys reccomend.

Spend a little more and get the Canon Digital Rebel, I have it and it's bad ass... Plus you can hack it to be like the 10D which is an expensive ass camera.

Nikon CoolPix 8700. Or if you want a cheap DSLR, I think you can get the cannon rebel for around that.

i agree, the coolpix 8700 is a good cam, though they released the 8800 recently....but if i were you i'd go for a DSLR instead, not sure if you need 8 Mpx,if it's for web usage anyway.... :2 cents:

Minolta D-Image 7i, I heard is used a 2ndr cam by alot of photographers.
Its in your price range, and I own one, and would recommend it.
