Where is the precedent here? What you're saying is that this has been ruled as illegal before, and thus there is precedent for the FBI to confiscate gear.

Sorry, it doesn't work that way really. I had many friends raided by the FBI, it took a *LOT* of evidence and tons of surveilence/etc. before they were even able to obtain the search warrant.

While the complaint may do something, it will most likely be thrown away in the "yeah right" bucket. It's an iffy legal standing practice, and unclear how much damage it caused (FBI won't even get involved in computer crimes that didn't exceed $5,000 in damages.. It would take a LOT of traffic to reach $5,000 in bandwidth. :P)

Just something to think about, I don't think reporting this to the FBI is an effective means of getting it stopped any time soon. I'm open for ideas though.

fbi not going to find the guy who is imgsrc'd your site. he is a kid 15 years old for sure and his is imgsrc'd from some free hosting place. get lost man its an adult site !!! they will say who cares about your adult porn site " get a real job ". Some guy posted literacy Test on the internet and police and fbi still they can't find him. hahaha

Well, on the $5,000 dollar issue, I think that would not be hard to reach if you gather up the ten or twenty guys talkin' about gangin' up on someone... we're not talkin' about one guy doing it... they were talkin' about an organized assault on the guy.

DOS attacks cost people, more than just the person the attack is intended for, plenty of money.

Litigation and criminal prosecution aren't cheap to defend against either.
