am i reading it right, Germany and Australia gave close to 1 Billion $ ?
canada upped its donation to some 485mil i believe, over time.
The money is nice, but it wont replace the lives that it took.
That figure for Australia is a little low. It was already over $6 per person before the telethon which raised over 15 million and the world vs asia cricket match which also raised over 15 million. our population is around 20 million :thumbsup

Sweden has collected a large amount also in private donations. We have had several fundraising events and TV and newspapers run campaigns 24 hrs a day. Don't know why we aren't on that list yet though.

Did Germany have some special interest over there? It's kind of strange for that particular country to donate so much to this crisis.
