yea,,your right,,his family was screaming for help when the cops took him away:

Early Tuesday, Wallet's face and clothes were caked with mud but he said he had not given up hope of finding his family.

"I know they've got to be there. I'm not going to stop," he said.

However, he said, there were no longer screams coming from beneath the debris, as there had been Monday.

Okay, that gives me the pic. Got the story link by chance?

GatorB 01-11-2005 01:11 PM

He's looks non-white so the cops knew his kids were most likely non-white there they had to sie so ther would be more whites. Cops are like that you know.

Chris Malais 01-11-2005 01:13 PM

Yeah. It's to vague to even give another thought.

Manowar 01-11-2005 01:13 PM

"restrained" ... not arrested. It was probably dangerous, after all it says in different articles he was still digging after any noises stopped yesterday

xclusive 01-11-2005 01:14 PM

I was looking at more stories about the mudslides and came across this...

Holy shit that's a big rock.

Sosa 01-11-2005 01:36 PM

damn that is messed up.

infecto 01-11-2005 01:37 PM

I don't think thats really the full story. I am thinking he was getting in the way of rescue and cleaning since he hadn't found his family yet. Shortly after the mudslide he was helping rescue crews get people out so I am assuming he was starting to get a little crazy.

This might be different but I just found it on the CNN site as well. I guess it was his wife and 3 daughters. :(

Geez that's just fucked up!

CE_BigB 01-12-2005 09:02 AM

There were no noises from rubble since Monday

There were no noises of his family when he was taken away..
he was said to be hindering efforts of rescuers. But he was merely distraught because he thought rescuers were taking too long to reach his family that was heard in the rubble on Monday. Ground there is very unstable still and cautions have slowed rescue efforts.

I think his attitude or spasticness is pretty understandable. I know if my family were trapped under that shit, they could not get enough men on that mountain to get me outta there and I would not be satisfied with the slowness of rescue efforts no matter what. All I could think was maybe they are alive under there and dig dig dig and I would try to recruit everyone I could with the same attitude until my family or their bodies were found.
