Someone tried to stab my kid yesterday
I got a phone call from his school late yesterday, that some kid in his grade tried to stab him. I had to rush over to the school and talk to the principle etc.
Lucky for him the kid missed and he got away with just a slash in his jacket only. From what mys son told me is that, he and his friends were having a snowball fight, amongst themselves after school and this kid came along and said I am going to cut you, produced a switchblade and went at my son. He grabbed some snow and threw it in his eyes and was able to get away. Fortunately his friends were with him, otherwise I worry if he were alone, what might have happened, if the other kid would have chased him down or whatever. Needless today it is going to be pretty f'd up. I have to wait for the police to call me. It's going to be really a challenge to de stress |
When my kids get that age, I won't hesitate to have their enemies beaten up by some of the tougher kids who need lunch money.
|
A total stranger, with no provocation, walked up to people he did not know and had no quarrel with then announced he was going to cut someone and randomly selected your son? I don't think you're getting the whole story.

damn dude, is he in highschool? I remember my highschool was fucked up, fights daily!
|
sounds a bit sketchy....maybe your kid is a bully and some kid had enough of his shit so he dicided to "young buck " him :1orglaugh
|
if the kid with the knife was at least 13 or older, i'd go kick his ass
|
yeah, your probably not hearing important parts of the story
|
This brings a lot of bad feelings forward, as my daughter's boyfriend who was a sr. star basketball player at the school had been attacked with a machete, was lucky to be alive, and ended up losing the use of his hand when he tried to block a blow to his head, this happened about 2 years ago
I am actually pretty worried that my (gr12) daughter will initiate a retaliation on this kid if the police don't do anything |
Lucky he threw snow in his eyes. Good thinking!!

damn 4th graders

When did schools turn into warzones? All I had to worry about in school was cold lunch or hot lunch and who to play with at recess.
|
Bodyguards are the solution
|
damn thats completely fucked up, kids are getting more and more insane. I hope everything works out for you and your son, and the little punk with the knife gets what he has coming. even if your not getting the full story and by some chance your son did provoke it, no child needs to be having a weapon at school.

|
and, are you sure your sweet little innocent angle and his friends didnt pummel the kid with snowballs?
|
Where the fuck do you live, in the projects? I am just curious because there is always fights in school, but thats all they are...fights. Not attempted murder.

The more noticable your assault, the more feared/respected the kids in the gang ranks are. Quote:
That's why I think it's likely part of a gang initiation, it has to be public where everyone can see, to get other kids to notice and other gang members, who were probably around as well |
I don't know if schools are that much more dangerous... I just think we here about it a lot more in the media... minus the school shootings a few years back...
I was in highschool 5 years ago and their were fights but I never saw weapons... just a bunch of hicks with attitude problems. |

However, the entire school environment is fucked up nowadays. When I went to school, I address my teachers as Mr. or Mrs. or Miss...none of this call me Jim bullshit. Kids need to learn respect. It starts at home certainly, but schools have a BIG impact on our children and need to understand that and continue to show them what respect is about. Teachers are NOT their peers nor their friends. Stop treating them as such. |
