question for x-smokers
I'm on day 6 without cigs.. Im currently enjoying that wonderful phase where your brain is getting to much oxygen and your blood sugar levels are all fucked up basically turning you into a retard that spends a lot of time sitting around staring at things and drooling on yourself with absolutely zero happening inside your head. (I.E. you get nothing at all fucking done).
My question is, when the fuck does this phase end? I'm not liking it at all. (hopefully later on as im staring at things like pens, the carpet, my cats balls ill remember to look back in this thread). This is where I lose every time I try to quit, I get sick of having my brain functioning like a frenchmens. Tell me it ends soon. |
it will last until you start smoking again.....
|
It'll last about 2 weeks or so....It's worth it
|
Hehe, dude I have got exactly this same problem but I can't tell you when it will end..
Only thing I can tell you is it wouldn't happen tommorow, because I'm on my 7th day and it's this same :) |
Gum works for many - I simply did something physically active and my cravings went bye bye.
When will it go away ... I never really suffered with the problem that badly so I can not help you there. |
I'm on day 11 and i'm already starting to function again normally and boy do i think better quicker and clearer!!!!! I felt what you feel for 3-5 days!!!!
|
It's a psychological withrawal for a chain smoker...are you before? ....
I've quited a month ago and I go the same phase like yours ... Right now I'm doing fine ... I can control myself from it...but to be honest I still crave to smoke cigar...to resist it I drink fresh milk, eat oatmeal, raisins.... |
Maybe I'll explain my response better - your body is taking all your brains available resources and allocating them to the craving, thusly denying other operations the ability to function properly.
Some people use chewing gum to trick the mind ... making it work for, not against you. |
I had almost the same reaction. The key for me was to do something active, for maybe 20-30 minutes, particularly if the craving was strong. Not talking excercise even (though that's good). Just something OTHER than what I would normally do (sit in front of the computer). I also found that drinking a hell of a lot of water helped, as well as sitting in the sauna and sweating.
Oh - and eating a lot of healthy snack foods. For me, that particular level of craving/symptoms went away after about 10 days. |
its great.. i still smoke but i tried not to during 1s and 2nd christmas..
You ARE a retard.. you cant even do the most simple things without fucking it up. Your IQ seems to drop at least 30 points.. even getting bread from the bakery is a tough job.. |
the first 2 weeks is the hardest cuz of the change of body chemistry and the de-association of the habit.
im 3+ years smoke free. i occasionally enjoy 2nd hand smoke tho, lol... |
