education advice give it to me

ok, listen - I have no (educational) right to even be in this business, but I am making a pretty good living at it thanks to a bit of greymatter I think I got from my mom - the bottom line is I want to go further.

Everything I know is from reading boards, tutorials, studying source code, trial and error and plain lurking - I'm not ashamed. I've gotten enough out of the internet to be able to pay my bills, bar tab, clothing habits, and I have enough to put myself in a decent school - so I want to do it. What courses should I take and why?

Take HTML 101. That is the only course you'll ever need. Honestly, you can learn everything you need to learn on the net. Are you mainly going to school for the piece of paper they give you in the end?

to hell with the piece of paper :) I have none now and I do fine, I only want to gain skils.

Just take random classes that you think would interest you...

That piece of paper might come in handy if this adult web site stuff ever fails for you.

What if you must get a real job :O

If you want classes take general studies, basic college classes.

If you wan't skills take some certificate or undergraduate classes in something like...

Graphic Design
Web Page Design.
CAD
MS Office
Cisco & A+

Tech school's would be the best if you wan't to learn something. Go to a college if you want the paper though.

if the web ever goes to shit, I'm a salesman. Give me anything, put me in front of 3 people and I will sell it to at least 1 of them. And collect my commission, rinse, wash, repeat. I do that anyway.

but screw the piece of paper, what is your highest prized skill, what did you learn in school that makes the internet a goldmine for you? What are you good at, what do you love doing, that makes life liveable and profitable as a webmaster?

Honestly, study what compells you. You know how to do what makes you money, so study what you really like.
