If your going to use UNIX why don't you switch to MAC OS 10.1 its a UNIX-based core operating system?features such as protected memory, preemptive multitasking, advanced memory management, and symmetric multiprocessing bla, bla, bla, http://www.apple.com/macosx/

Anyway that way you could use any one of 50 browsers. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/smile.gif

at my PC at home i have win2k and love it. but i am at a Sun Sparc workstation during the day. so i have no chance of installing a new OS here.

the IE didnt work by the way http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/frown.gif
i am gonna give mozilla a try i guess.

i also need an icq (except licq). preferebly a lite version.
any suggestions?
i downloaded the java version from icq.com website, it runs but it wont let me connect. i think its because it has the old icq servers on its settings. can someone tell me what the hostname is for the icq2000?

thanks a bunch

Lane

Ya, I knew that switching probally was not an option. I just wanted to let the UNIX users that MACS foundation was now UNIX and it is kicking ass in a big, big way. Good luck in looking for your browser though

osX is nice but still a BSD clone.
if u need unix for devleoping and for database stuff .. u cant use osX at this time.
i like the osX the mac G4 dual is a fucking cool box.

i use for web/mail and some shitt windows
for all developing solaris, linux,bsd
most of our server running solaris (ora and mysql database)and FreeBSD ( roxen webserver)

so is it nice to have the same env. to the the system ...
