AND... how do I get it to stop giving me a big block window telling me when each person logs in???? Theres like 5 at a time blocking my scroll bar at all times. This really sucks!

The log in thing should be a setting under preferences - contact list? The new trillian sucks big donkey ding dong...my ICQ will not work AT ALL. So I am now back to ICQ lite. It won't hold all my contacts but at least it connects.

Trillian has turned into a big turd sandwich.

IM2 looks like it might be a suitable replacement, I just haevn't gotten around to setting it up myself.

I have no problems with it - quite frankly, once I got it working, I tried not to get fancy with it either.

Rrred, hit me up so we can compare if it works.

TondaB - did you check if it was your Firewall that was blocking it?

Weird I run the new trilian pro and ran the old version for 2 years. I don't have any problems with the new version. Far as the big block window telling you when each person logs in. Just look in preferences like TondaB said then notifications and under notification windows uncheck where it says notify me when. Far as the icq I will ask my wife she found where you could right click something to show the nick names instead of the numbers. It may have been just right click the number and some preference in there. I think it was something in there I know it drove me crazy untill she fixed it for me.

If trillian is giving you a lot of trouble, then perhaps [url=http://gaim.sf.netgaim[/url] would work better for you. It's an open source clone of trillian basically, except that it works. I use to be a trillian fan, but gaim is just so much better.

i used trilian from time to time..but it does seem to have diffrent kinks for different people..like any other program though..the more you use it the easier it is to find your way around

I've been using the new trillian with no problems on AIM or ICQ. I had to dick with it a bit to get it set up right, but now it's fine.

and it displays names, not ICQ numbers.

mine has been doing that for months now, and it is the old trillian pro

i think it is a glitch with the ICQ server and Trillian's communication

post on their board though, you will probably get a solution

I recently updated to the new trillain pro on 2 pc's and they both work perfectly. In fact much better than the previous version.

It's worth pointing out that the free version has always been shit. The pro version has always been far more stable for me and obviously also has better features.

Maybe someone can answer a Trillian question for me. I use the PRO version and I do agree a little with RRRED, but I am too lazy to move to something else, so I am stuck...

In any case, every time I turn on my Trillian i get about 6-7 authorization request from someone that it SAYS is in my contact list, but I cant find the fucker. And it is really really annoying that this keeps on happening and I cant find the person. What do I do to stop it?
