Dick Butkis absolutely crushed people.

Fuck yeah! He inspired me to play linebacker and I wore #51. Any man with a life-goal of ripping someone's head off in a football game is a GREAT man. In trying to live up to his standards, I lead the league in injuries caused and helped break a kid's neck in a 5-man gang tackle. Crazy times. There will never be anyone as great as Dick again though...

I heard a story about Johnny Unitis too from when they played with open face helmets that he got his teeth smashed through his bottom lip and said "fuck it" and finished the game. That's pretty tough in my book. Joe Thiesman knows how tough LT was btw lol.
