ive not played around with it yet, maybe you can disable the service, or run msconfig and stop it from running that way. i hate how you have to do that with norton too, its a pain to enable the service every time i want to use it

It's a slick little tool for being a Beta

theres tons of money in spyware, thats why its becoming more and more malicious as more people want their share of the pie

...and as usual, MS didnt develop anything - they bought out somebody.

Sosa 01-09-2005 10:29 AM

heh, that program used to be called GIANT. MS bought it or become partners with em and just put their name on it...

brand0n 01-09-2005 10:34 AM

i just installed it =D

sumphatpimp 01-09-2005 10:36 AM

the thing I fear most with this is that MS will stick their fingers into it and the update will be full of MS fuck ups and a 1001 backdoors will be created by these clowns.
it is great if they only leave their hands off.

Been using it for a few days now! it does pin point all threats! but you need to be careful not to remove critical files! :2 cents:

I'll stick to spyware blaster... I don't trust MS

True.

I Ran a full scan yesterday on my PC and detected like 50 different threats. Of course I proceeded to remove them all (as they were classified as security threats after all)

Today, I had to re-install 2 software programs that I normally use, because the spyware application identified as a security threat, the part that provides online help and automatic updates in those programs. :321GFY

Next time, I guess I should actually read the report the spyware application generates before deleting anything.
