I finally did it!
 

I know it isn't cutting edge or anything but I finally went out and got a new laptop and upgraded my home network to include wireless. Now I am surfing the net wherever I want to and I am pumped!

i've been wireless since Nov '99 - could never, ever go back.

Yeah tomorrow I'm gonna go test its range. Right now I am uploading and downloading close to 3megs up and down from about 50 feet away from the port.
