How much money does someone have to earn to be considered as Rich?
 

In your Opinion, How much does someone have to earn per month for you to considered them as Rich :question

hmmm.......

matters where you live and how you spend the money. You can seem poor but have so much money in stocks, bonds, savings etc. To me, being rich is being happy and having money to do what you want.

Many people consider a million to be rich but then again some consider that not enough....point is too many variables

If your in the states and you bring anywhere from 10-20k a month your better off than 98% of your surroundings

I see rich as, Being able to get up and fly to a tropical island any weekend or day of the week you feel like it just to get away from the office :)

Let's put it this way.... you'd be surprised at how little some make - and shocked at how much others do... when people actually start talking numbers it's never ever what you think.

"Rich" is relative... it really depends on who you talk to. :winkwink:

Fucking being rich, I want wealth. Like Chris Rock says "Shaq is rich but the white dude who signs his check is wealthy.".

I think it's when you make enough to have all your expenses paid for a month and double that...So if your expenses for everything is only 2,500 and you make 5,000 you could consider yourself rich but then again there is Rich and filthy rish totally different ballgame

To me a rich individual who is making at least up to 30 thousand$ a month, I consider that one rich, It doesn't matter If he is spending it all in one game poker a night at Las Vegas or saving more than the half... :pimp

I see rich as being able to cover your ass financially for the next six months with only one months worth of work.

i see it as
rich if you make 100k/year cuz that's enough for most to pay their bills easily and spend mostly as they wish.

You're a millionaire once your assets reach a million or you make a million a year even if you blow it all away. billionaire means you've beat the billion dollar mark! let's all shoot for the latter, who wants to just be rich

you should be focusing on wealthy, not rich, and wealth is the number of days you can maintain your present state of living without working.

to me....mkaing over 250k a year is rich.

10 Million, after taxes, is 'rich' in my books.

- 300k gross a year income _OR_ 1 million of liquid investable assets = wealthy

- 30 million net worth = super rich, the breed of people that get their asses licked in the banks' family offices in Switzerland

I once met someone who works in a "private branch" of a large national bank in Australia. It's located in the city with an unmarked entrance. You can't get your foot in the door unless you've got at least a couple of hundred thousand dollars of positive balance in your accounts.

There is a good book called "The millionaire next door". The authors use a formula to determine how you rate in aquiring wealth and assets. The authors say that those seeking wealth should have a net worth that equals one's age multiplied by one's annual income, with the result divided by 10. Doing this will put you in the upper 1% range of American savers.

So if you are 25 and earn $40,000 per year you should have a net worth of over $100,000

But if you are 50 and earn $250,000 per year you should have a net worth of over 1.25 million

They considered a net worth of over 10 million to be rich.

You are only rich only in other people's eyes.

If you make $100K a year, you may not consider yourself rich at all, but you are rich enough for about 95% of the people in this planet.

On the other hand, you may earn $10Million a year and you may not be regarded as a rich person by people who earn 10 times that amount.

forbes considers anyone with over $10 mil is rich or considered to be a "millionaire"

It all depends in what country u live

I am not sure 10 mil does it any more. Interest rates are so low what the hell would 10 mil net you? 500k a year if you were very aggressive? 500k a year is awesome but not exactly what we would call rich.

I would agree to the forbes numbers.
