I actually like some of her stuff - that YaYa song is so damn slutty love it - but it's fucking hilarious to watch her missteps and then to go "is she actually getting booed?" LOL. I rewound and checked the reactions of the crowd to Kelly Clarkston -- she got mild cheers -- and to Trace Adkins -- utter silence -- and then the boos and catcalls after Simpson finished wailing and screaming on stage. Her problem is that she just can't sing live. Eventually her career will end on that.
Her sister has a voice - can't stand her music, but she is musically correct.
Christina has a world class, trained voice. Again, not big on her music, but she has one of the widest ranges, octave wise, out there. I hate American Idol with a passion (boycotted at our house) - but Kelly Clarkson, again, has a musically correct, excellent voice.
But Ashlee simply can't sing, and in the end, the hook won't matter. You gotta be able to project, not go flat, and carry a tune!Comment
