so youre basically making members out of the email lists, and then using the forum as leverage saying theyre all optin? :Graucho

yup thats one use , but i would assume its better marketing for existing opt-in lists

Like lets say you had a pharmacy email list with data, i could transfer the users data to a forum so they could be notified of new medication or deals on existing medication thru different sponsors :) using the forum. You could use the existing email service built into phpbb or your own.

Isnt it just a matter of writing a socket program to fill in www-form 's. Actually I think it may be even easier with php.
