Need video encoding help.
I have raw avi's 30 secs each.
Normally i used to convert them to .asf but for my new site i want to convert them to wmv or divx. If i make asf files i get 30 secs in 3 mb with decent quality. I know wmv for instance can make that same file smaller without losing quality. I have virtual dub, windows media encoder, mediacleaner pro but no matter what i try i get shit! I tried every possible setting with the divx codec or mpeg4 v3 and the files end up 4 megs big with terrible quality. Is there anybody here who can help me? I need to know some exact settings and also what program to use. Thanks. |
... I wish I could help you, but as you sound like and expirienced movie guy I in fact have a question to add here:
how do you split big movies into little files, like if you have a 20MB big one (MPEG) ... how do you make 20 1MB little ones (MPEG) ... I tried this with mPack, I can split them with no problems at all ... but only the first is viewable ... and all others come up with sound only ... do you know any software that works better ?? ------------------ Don't innovate - imitate! ... giving away mass traffic for free !! |
Hmm, i believe virtualdub can do that. If i edit bigger files i use adobe premiere. You can add layers, text and music with it. But its not perfect for batch splitting i think.
