How do you get a site banned by google?

I have never had this happen to me, I am wondering what you have to do for google to ban you. In fact, how about Yahoo and MSN as well?

Give me access to the domain. I can guarantee I will have it banned in no time at all.

Wolfy 01-04-2005 11:33 PM

hehehe, I bet. No really, I have one site in particular that I have been tweaking and getting good results with Se's, but I want to know what NOT to do - tlak to me!

newpmp 01-04-2005 11:35 PM

try making lots of doorway pages and keyword spam your page that should do it.

hope that helps :)

Wolfy 01-04-2005 11:39 PM

I'm not trying to get my site banned, I just want to know what NOT to do.

As far as keyword spamming... How do you honestly avoid that?If you are writing articles that are legitimately pertaining to the word DOG and you use the word DOG repeatedly, how are they going to ban you? Anybody have the3 real info I'm looking for?

newpmp 01-04-2005 11:45 PM

well they wont ban you but they dont like a word more ~100 times per page it will hurt your ranking

Wolfy 01-04-2005 11:46 PM

What if I had about 600 pages with varying text but all of them had the key words "BIG FAT ASSES" in them, and all ofthem had very similar titles and all of them had either FAT or ASS in the file name. Woudl that get me banned?

it would surprise me to learn that a site can actually be "banned". I can see have it so low that no one would ever find it. But actually refusing to list would surprise me.

Also, I know all search engine programs hate sites with frames. Frames = shitty ranking. :2 cents:

I definately understand that, the old copy paste trick big fat asses big fat asses big fat asses big fat asses etc... worked for a few people for a short amount of time.

Taht's good info. I have a PR of 5 right now and high listings for a lot of items, and I am lookign to expand the ground I cover, but I don't want to inadvertantly hurt my self either.

:) Who knows? Tho the old search/replace routine over 600 pages is a little outdated and probably would not get near any ranking. A 10-40 page site done with some sense would achieve much more :-)

To sucessfully get banned.. try a nice combo of hidden text and links, stuff in that meta to kill Google caching - that should do it fairly quickly :-)

Wolfy 01-05-2005 09:15 AM

That was a little more useful, thanks webby. I don't do anything like that so I don't have to worry about that. Waht about something like this - If I have pages that get high placement on search engines, what sort of results would you expect if you were to take those exact pages and put them on a different domain? Obviously relevance plays a role, so I am considering devoting some time to a site with even more relevant terms and phrases, the only problem I can see is that the new site won't have the PR (right away at least), but I feel that it would be more relevant overall.

xclusive 01-05-2005 09:21 AM

Just don't try anything over the top. Just keep your text on topic and you will be fine..

Wolfy 01-05-2005 09:50 AM

The only problem with that is that is too much like playing it safe. I like to know where the line is, so I can dry hump that fucker.

DarkJedi 01-05-2005 09:57 AM

Easiest way: cloak it and have someone report it.
