I blew a .46 on my friends breathalizer on my 21st.. I woke up in a bath tub 13 hours later and wasn't able to get out for another 3 hours... scooping puke into the drain. I don't understand how my friends didn't bring my ass to the hospital but whatever. I'm still here.

Not too big of a surprise. :glugglug
Bulgaria GNI per capita (US$),2003 = $2,130 Average annual rate of inflation (1990-2003) (%) = 75 |
guess you've never heard of the home made "rakia" some of it has 90+ vol of alcohol. Vodka has nothing on it.
even our beer has more alcohol than the piss they sell here. add to that he lives in a place with lots of clean fresh air, he's been drinking for many years and you got at least half of the reasons why he lived |
Saw a woman blow a .344, and then a .345
When rescue came in, they could not believe that she was using the phone, and speaking like anyone you would meet. No slurred speach or anything. |
he's also a gypsie and these peeps are into heavy duty drinking. Lived nearby 3 houses full or Romas and from Friday night untill sunday night all they did was drink and dance. You could see at least 4-5 crates of beer bottles, each holding about 24 bottles. Add to that vodka and rakia.
My grandfather and his friend together drank about 2 gallons of Glenfiddich whiskey in one day, the bottle was so big it had to have a metal crate thing to be able to swing it down and fill your glass. :food-smil |
that's a lot. I'm based in Poland and every now and then they mention in the news that someone had more than that and was able to walk or even ride a bike :glugglug

Hehe... I haven't posted here in ages but now I feel obliged to :)
At first, yes, I know what I'm talking about because I live in Bulgaria. That level of alcohol in the blood is not possible (in a live person, at least). Today's newspaper said that probably the blood sample was contaminated somehow and that resulted in an unusually high level of alcohol shown on the equipment. So, no, the whole story is not true :) Now, as long some of the people on this board go... yeah, over here we can measure the alcohol level in the blood. You prolly would be surprised but we also have amazing things like electricity, tapped water, houses, hospitals, highways, airports, cars, trains and all that stuff that you think we're lacking. We have cinemas, theaters, operas. We are dressed when going outside - we don't jump naked from tree to tree. And, yes, we peel off the bananas before eating them. Bulgaria is a member of NATO, has sent troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and will become a full member of the European Union in 2007. Over 110 countries have embassies in Bulgaria. Unfortunately, we're not the underdeveloped country which you imagine when you hear "Bulgaria". In Sofia (the capital) and in the biggest cities, we have every single thing you can imagine. There is NOTHING which you can buy in the mall next to you that we don't have. Believe it or not. Here are some pics from Sofia for you to enjoy: http://mariandesign.com/sofia/ I am far from saying that everything is alright and perfect over here. My country is a young democracy with all possible consequences. But, please, stop thinking of it as some shithole filled with savages and nothing else. :) |
