you could a hella nice box if you could get the parts individually and put somethin together yourself. I recently put somethin together for a friend and it was a decent machine, everything but the monitor only ran him like $377

check out www.tigerdirect.com
build your own pc for a shit load less. my bro-in-law just did that recently & built his 'dream pc' for under $1200. also check out www.newegg.com , heard some good things about them. |
i just built a new powered neon machine with athlon 3000+, 1gb ram, nice video card, sound blaster audigy, 200 gb hd and tons more shit....all for under $600

http://www.newegg.com/ is awesome
|
The one you put together yourself and just pay for the parts.

I agree with xclusive, get the parts from newegg like I did, great prices, big selection, fast shipping. I built an amd 64 system, and I love it
|
If you really want the most bang for your buck without a doubt build it yourself. Try to buy everyone from one online shop to cut down on delivery costs and time, newegg.com has pretty decent prices all around. You could definitely make a killer machine for even under $1K and have some cash left over for beer and liquor :thumbsup

If you are capable, build your own.
Dude, I'd never buy a Dell! |
i dont know i am still a big fan of dell

Actually, in regards to the post i made, i actually got the stuff from newegg as well, it's where i get about 90% of any hardware i need, other then that, directron.com has some good deals.

YOu guys are fuckin' awesome! Thanks for the tip.
I'll go to newegg.com and get me one together. at the risk of overstaying me welcome, if any of you freak gearheads could post a spec sheet of what i oughtta get, i would be most apprciative. i don't know shit about what's inside a computer box!! LOL thanks loads!! :thumbsup -vi |
