I can't say for sure either way as some sponsors don't show referring URLs -> sign-ups but I can't imagine why the retention from a review site would be any less ... unless the reviewing site gives out an AAA rating to every site and/or lies their ass off to get the sale?

p.s. TheBestPorn and RabbitsReviews both do VERY well - they are sending a lot of sign-ups. If they are all money-losing trial signups then I can see the lack of retention as hurting the margin but I'd be curious to hear what sponsors say? Anyone?

What BackToMine said doesn't make much sense cause most of the good sites offer revshare only or am i wrong ? Quick look at the toplists shows mostly rehshare sites..

Most of our top rated sites are revshare, which works just fine with us. :)

Overall retention is probably a little worse from review sites, but conversions are unreal. 99% of the programs we talk to love our traffic, banning will be the last thing on their minds. :pimp

I'll comment from the reviewer standpoint - even though I'm pretty much small beans compared to thebestporn & rogers.

retention from the signups I've sent seems pretty good. I don't really have much to compare it to, but about half of the signups I've sent recur for at least a second month.

So untrue. At worst they will lower your payment or ask you to do revshare. Who is going to say NO to sales? Yes, I have heard some paysite owners complain but most paysite owners don't even realize the retenion of review site traffic.

I approach sponsors with a request for a password for my review site and have yet to have anyone say no. I had one site that got a pretty bad review (60 out of 100) and the sponsor agreed the site sucked and, in fact, said it got a better review than they expected.
