Sponsors that link descriptions for hosted gals not just provide them?
 

It would save me hours and hours if sponsors would link the description of the galleries. It is awesome that they provide them, and some will even export them into a list for script importation. But if anyone know places like Epic Cash does for their movies please let me know.

It's great to have descriptions for galleries, but having the same description used by all affiliates for a given sponsor FHG is NOT GOOD when it comes to SE issues.

DUPLICATE CONTENT PENALTIES (by search engines) are REAL!

Especially in light of recent algo changes by one of the biggest SEs, you should be using *unique* titles and descriptions for your links or you run the risk of having your own site 'sandboxed' by SEs and your sponsor may lose SE prominence as well due to what would appear (to SEs) as 'site scraping'.

If you don't care about SE traffic, disregard this.

But, if you know that SE traffic converts much better than other types and does not cost as much to build, why shoot yourself in the foot?

Either write your own gallery titles or descriptions, or use a tool which does it legitimately for you:

Most of us use a unique url code to track our traffic. Thus SE never gets to see the sponsors's url....

Someone should make a little stand alone script that can batch manipulate FHG list data from different sponsors all sorts of different ways. (create and edit existing fields, create a linkable list like this, etc etc.) I've seen so many requests.

This way whoever had this script would not be limited to promoting just the sponsors that had that certain output formats available. It would be a usefull little script for some.

BTW we have 5 different size descriptions for each of our galleries and hosted thumbs if your interested. I'll talk to my programmer tomorrow to see if we can accomodate this format.

This is a common misconception.

Unless your bounce script has an intermediate page which requires the user to click on a link (again) to proceed to the sponsor, most search engines will relate the url on your site to the destination page on the sponsor's site.
