Many Governments knew but did nothing to evacuate coastal areas ? global conspiracy, UFO threats or concerted failure?

Now it is slowly coming out that almost all the Governments affected by the Tsunami knew about the earthquake and possible Tsunami hours before their countries were hit. by the killer tidal waves. The only local Government that did not have a chance to react or evacuate was in Sumatra and Andaman Nicobar islands.

Based on the analysis of the time sequence in which these Governments received information and failed or decided not to act is alarming. In Sri Lanka, India, Maldives and Thailand rumors in the main street are rampant that their respective Governments were told not to act by someone or some entity.

Indian Military for example clearly got the information two hours before the Tsunami hit the India?s mainland. An Indian Air Force base was wiped out in Andaman Nicobar island near Sumatra close to the epicenter if the earthquake two hours before the Tsunami hit the mainland India. When Indian Military tried to inform the Government, the Government did nothing as if they did not hear.

Same story is being repeated in Thailand, Sri Lanka and Maldives. How can all the countries decide to let Tsunami come and not evacuate a single human being?

Some are concluding that the Governments knew of some experiments by some country, agency or entities. They were clearly told not to react because it was in a controlled environment. Or, they may have just asked to keep quiet.

Recent alien contacts have been reported with the South Asian Governments especially India. UFO sightings have been rampant over the region affected. Some in Nicobar Island say that it was an experiment conducted by the alien extra-terrestrial entities to correct the wobbly rotation of the earth. And some of the Indian scientists are actually seeing that wobbly rotation of the earth has been corrected since the massive underwater earthquake and Tsunami.

In Indian capital of New Delhi, faxes were being sent to wrong fax numbers so that nothing much is done even though the Government clearly knew about the coming Tsunami. People have started asking the question ? was this utter failure or global conspiracy to accommodate some entity or interest or was this for the good of the earth?

If this was an utter failure, how do you justify that all six Governments failed separately in their own domain one by one.

According to some extraterrestrial UFO observers, the UFO sightings before the earthquake and Tsunami were very unusual in that part of the world. They claim the world?s Governments were told not to act for some reason.

The most amazing thing is that United States Geological Survey and Ocean Monitoring agencies came to know about the Tsunhe Tsunami and earthquake but decided not to do anything. Well it seems the whole world decided to fail to do anything together at the same time. Are we missing something?

Can it be that all the Government Agencies knew what was happening but were told not to do anything? Who told them? Or is this just a tragic coincidence?

In Thailand some in the Government said, they decided not to act because that will just scare people. Really? Are we not supposed to get scared of scary things?

As far fetched as that story sounds, its actually quite possible that something like that went down. It strikes me as totally illogical how no one acted at all on a 9 level quake uniformly the way it did go down.

Its true the Governments lie, but the UFO thing is BS. Having born in India, and living there for 12 years, I can honestly say that the journalists come up with self-made stories while taking a dump.

At the time it wasn't rated as an 9.0 it was in the mid 8's.. There had apparently been an earthquake in the same area that registered in the 8's and did no damage. So maybe they figured this one would be the same.

Is strange about the air force thing. That's the first I've heard of an air force base getting destroyed 2 hours before it hit Sri Lanka.

Normally I would have tossed this UFO story in the recycle bin BUT I can confirm without a doubt that weeks before the Tsunami and quake there were indeed a huge amount of UFO stories coming out of the region. It really surprised us UFO enthusiasts as we'd rarely heard of UFO stories coming in such a wave from India, Pakistan and S Asia.

Even the Indian government got involved which is another shocker.

The news wires were full of UFO stories from that area and so then came this story. So there's no way in hell they made this stuff up at the last moment because the stories from various sources were right there on the wires way before this disaster hit.

So what kinds of sightings were happening recently? Wow. That's crazy stuff if its connected to the Tsunami.

I don't know about aliens, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was some kind of test to see how the region will react to massive flooding from water level rising as the polar caps are melting..

Some collosal failure happened. But I don't think it was intended. Somehow , someway, all the leaders of the nations affected were totally impotent in the face of the tsunami. They didn't know what to do, so they did nothing..

Ooops, KRL I was wrong. I said there were UFO stories for weeks before the quake and tsunami. Actually there were UFO stories for MONTHS before the quake and tsunami. It's a pattern that's well recorded for decades that just before a major quake or disaster UFO sightings increase as do strange animal behaviors. How in the world did every country involved not have a warning system in place? Everybody was caught with their pants down and it was a week or so after an 8.5 had hit south east of that region.

Even the dumb animals knew better to run for the hills. I heard a story on the radio today that blew my socks off. In Thailand they have elephant rides. Kids play with the elephants. Well as the news story said two elephants suddenly grabbed and prodded the children at the ride park UP the hills just before the waves hit! In Sri Lanka all the animals hauled ass way before the tsunami hit. They couldn't find any drowned animals!

Now those are just a few stories about how animals sensed the danger but our dumb asses with all kinds of advanced technology to spy on each other like satellites and submarines etc. didn't have enough sense to get out of the way?

We spent trillions on shit to spy on people and to make sure the dope and whores are delivered on time but nobody had the fucking sense to call somebody on a cell phone or email??? WTF?

Shit like this could happen anytime. Anywhere.

KHAO LAK, Thailand (Reuters) - Agitated elephants felt the tsunami coming, and their sensitivity saved about a dozen foreign tourists from the fate of thousands killed by the giant waves.

"I was surprised because the elephants had never cried before," mahout Dang Salangam said on Sunday on Khao Lak beach at the eight-elephant business offering rides to tourists.

The elephants started trumpeting -- in a way Dang, 36, and his wife Kulada, 24, said could only be described as crying -- at first light, about the time an earthquake measured at a magnitude of 9.0 cracked open the sea bed off Indonesia's Sumatra island.

The elephants soon calmed down. But they started wailing again about an hour later and this time they could not be comforted despite their mahouts' attempts at reassurance.

"The elephants didn't believe the mahouts. They just kept running for the hill," said Wit Aniwat, 24, who takes the money from tourists and helps them on to the back of elephants from a sturdy wooden platform.

Those with tourists aboard headed for the jungle-clad hill behind the resort beach where at least 3,800 people, more than half of them foreigners, would soon be killed. The elephants that were not working broke their hefty chains.

"Then we saw the big wave coming and we started running," Wit said.

Around a dozen tourists were also running toward the hill from the Khao Lak Merlin Resort, one of a line of hotels strung along the 10 km (6-mile) beach especially popular with Scandinavians and Germans.

"The mahouts managed to turn the elephants to lift the tourists onto their backs," Kulada said.

She used her hands to describe how the huge beasts used their trunks to pluck the foreigners from the ground and deposit them on their backs.

The elephants charged up the hill through the jungle, then stopped.

The tsunami drove up to 1 km (1,000 yards) inshore from the gently sloping beach which had been so safe for children it made Khao Lak an ideal place for a family holiday. But it stopped short of where the elephants stood.

On Sunday, the elephants were back at work giving rides to the tourists on whom the area depends.

German Ewald Heeg, who said he came from a small town near Frankfurt, said his charter company had offered his family -- wife, two daughters and one of their boyfriends -- the chance to go straight home, but he had turned it down.

"Our family is OK so we stay here to make our holiday," he said.

"Today, we make a safari. We go by elephants at first, then we make a boat trip.

elephants are great. i was watching a documentary about them on the discovery channel... they're very emotional animals.

The entire thing comes down to money. If they were yanking all the tourists off the beach everytime they thought that a wave may hit, then they would not have a tourist industry.

Animals can sense some odd things. They have dogs now that can sense somebody is about to have a seizure, up to an hour in advance. It can't be taught to dogs, either they can do it or they can't. If my dog's don't trust someone, I don't either. :thumbsup

I was reminded of those old disaster movies like 'Jaws' and 'Towering Inferno' and 'Poseidon Adventure' where people weren't warned because it might goof up the tourist season or they wanted to cut corners on construction or something.

Now that is some fucked up shit. The hearings and investigations are gonna reveal alot of screw ups.

I've heard but not confirmed that Saudi Arabia hasn't donated anything near as what the other countries who are not muslim did. Even though Indonesia still doesn't know how many are dead.

What's even more fucked up? News says the rice paddies are now flooded with 'salt' water. This year's and maybe next 2 years are fucked. That means maybe who knows how many might starve. Tsunami Warning Failed to Get Through-Thai Expert



PHUKET, Thailand (Reuters) - A Thai expert said on Monday he tried to warn the government a deadly tsunami might be sweeping toward tourist-packed beaches, but couldn't find anyone to take his calls.

Samith Dhammasaroj said he was sure a tsunami was coming as soon as he heard about the massive Dec. 26 earthquake off Indonesia's Sumatra island that measured magnitude 9.0 -- the world's biggest in 40 years.

"I tried to call the director-general of the meteorological office, but his phone was always busy," Samith said as he described his desperate attempts to generate an alert which might have saved thousands of lives.

"I tried to phone the office, but it was a Sunday and no-one was there," said the former chief of the meteorological department now charged with setting up an early warning disaster system for Thailand.


"I knew that one day we would have this type of tsunami. I warned that there would be a big disaster," he told reporters.


"Everyone laughed at me and said I was a bad guy who wanted to ruin the tourist industry," he added.


The tsunami took just 75 minutes to hit the beaches and islands of Thailand's Andaman Sea coast, 375 miles from the earthquake's epicenter.


Now more than 5,100 people are dead, nearly half of them foreign tourists who abandoned Europe's cold, dark winter for golden sands and turquoise seas, and left 3,800 missing, nearly 1,700 of them foreigners.


Downstairs from where he spoke, dozens of foreigners were still scanning message boards, trying to match grisly photos of bloated, battered bodies to the smiling pictures of missing friends and relatives.


"I feel very sorry for the people who died," Samith said. "I will make sure this thing does not happen again."


The early warning system for Thailand -- which has not had a natural disaster in living memory worse than floods during the annual monsoon -- would be ready in six months, Samith promised.


"We will make the system very efficient," he said.


ROARING SEA


Preliminary investigations by a team of six Japanese experts showed that the wall of water hit beaches along the Thai coast at different speeds and heights, with the phenomenon exacerbated by a high tide that fed the tsunami as it neared land.


Khao Lak beach, lined with hotels and resorts especially popular among Scandinavians and Germans just north of Phuket, took the worst hit from waves up to 10.5 meters (34 ft) high.


They roared up Khao Lak's gently sloping beach at speeds of up to 8 meters a second (29 kilometers an hour), said Professor Hideo Matsutomi, who led the Japanese team.


"There have been six major tsunami in this region since 1797, but I think this last tsunami was the biggest," he said.


Tsunami are much more frequent in the Pacific Ocean and countries there have long established an early warning system to protect them from disaster.


Samith said countries in the Indian Ocean had to follow suit and set up a network of underwater sea monitors which might cost as little as $20 million to build.


Warnings of imminent inundations would be sent out automatically on television and radio and by text messages to mobile phones.


The system would help woo back tourists scared away by the mass loss of life, Samith said.


"No-one can predict an earthquake, but you can predict a tsunami," he said. "We will build a good system."


"We will help tourists come back to Thailand."

These countries are pretty backwards. What could they have done, even if they had say 2 hours to prepare.

We have deaths from less severe hurricanes when we have days even weeks warning.

Also , i was watching a show on lights in the sky created by natural phenomena, its possible the ufo sighting were underground pockets of gas igniting from in between the plates .

No conspiracy ... the countries didn't have the warning systems/procedures to deal with such events.

And the U.S. likely wouldn't have fared any better. Remember back in 2003 when the Space Shuttle exploded ... NASA had no clue for quite awhile what had happened, even though they were actively tracking it!

If a tsunami were to occur in the Atlantic Ocean, depending on the time/day, it's very likely there would be little to no warning for folks along the East Coast.

In a nutshell, there appears to be no conspiracy; the U.S. likely would not fare any better in a similar situation.

You are driving along an empty road late at night when several large, disc-shaped lights suddenly fly in front of you. One stops and hovers above the road. Your ignition cuts out and your curiosity turns to panic. The glowing ball is on the ground in front of you now. Is that a figure emerging..?
You are having a UFO experience which could mean:
a) you have actually been contacted by aliens;
b) you are having hallucinations, are stressed or schizophrenic, or it is a false memory implanted later under hypnosis;
c) you have walked on to the set of a sci-fi B movie in the making.
But there is another possibility - you might simply be receiving advance warning of an earthquake. This is the theory of Michael Persinger, a professor of psychology and neuroscience at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, who is the subject of a television documentary tomorrow night [Ref: Equinox : Identified Flying Objects]. Mr Persinger's research project is odd and intriguing.
For 20 years he has been working on a theory that connects not only UFOs and earthquakes, but also powerful electromagnetic fields and an explanation of paranormal beliefs in terms of unusual brain activity.
"Beneath the Earth's surface seethe massive geophysical forces," says Mr Persinger. "Around the time of an earthquake particularly, the tremendous seismic pressure on rock crystals produces powerful local electrical fields, measuring several thousand volts per metre, more than enough to produce balls or columns of light."
Depending on the culture, these can be interpreted as dragons, mystical visions or flying saucers. In one study Mr Persinger found that 90 per cent of the accounts of luminous events in the sky reported between 1820 and 1926 could be linked to a rise in seismic activity at the same time. More recently, noting the connection between large dams and a build-up of seismic strain he has found a link between UFO reports and five major American dams.
An apparent epidemic of UFO reports in Manitoba, Canada, in 1975 was found to have coincided with a severe earthquake in the area. An apparent rash of UFOs in Missouri during 1973 and 1974 occurred at just the same time as the only two recently recorded earthquakes in the region.
Two British researchers, Paul McCartney, a geochemist, and Paul Devereux, writer, have found that Clev Hill in Wiltshire, long a favourite haunt of UFO spotters lies, beside the only two fault lines in the area.
But these geomagnetic fields are not only producing balls of light, they are also capable of having an effect on the brain. In a series of laboratory studies Mr Persinger has found that electromagnetically stimulating two parts of the brain involved with memory and meaning - the amygdala and the hippocampus - can suddenly release a flood of images from the past that are automatically imbued with a tremendous sense of reality and importance.
He has also found that stimulating another area, the temporal lobes, can produce all sorts of mystical experiences, out-of-the-body sensations and other apparently paranormal phenomena. Susan Blackmore, a psychologist and presenter of the television programme on Mr Persinger, has reported how she felt when her temporal lobes were stimulated with a pulsed magnetic field of the same intensity as that of a commercially available relaxation device.
"It felt for all the world as though two hands had grabbed my shoulders and yanked me upright... I felt as though I had been stretched halfway up to the ceiling. Then came the emotions, Totally out of the blue, but in tensely and vividly, I suddenly felt angry. Later... I was terrified."
So not only can the electromagnetic field produced by tectonic strain produce UFO-like luminous shapes but the subjective experiences of those having close encounters begin to make sense too. Reports of blacking out as the "ship" gets near and subsequent amnesia suggest an assault on the brain's electrical system, which could also explain why car engines often fail.
Then there are sinister aliens and sexual experiments, "Temporal lobe stimulation can evoke the feeling of a presence, disorientation, and perceptual irregularities," says Mr Persinger. "It can also activate images stored in the subject's memory, including nightmares and monsters that are normally suppressed." Strong magnetic fields affect the genitals,sensations which can be interpreted as "spacemen did tests on my genitals".
Mr Persinger's theory also implies that UFO spotting could seriously damage your health. "Exposure to intense magnetic fields has been associated with an increase in cancers of the blood, brain and sexual organs and a rise in depression, suicide and alcohol abuse," says Mr Persinger. He notes that of three children who were closest to the famous lights, interpreted as a vision of Virgin Mary, at Fatima in Portugal in 1917, two died within three years, one from a solid lung tumour.

Gas pockets don't perform aerial maneuvers and chase planes, hover over military bases, leave electromagnetic wakes nor have windows.

The only gas that could do those maneuvers would have to be from a TexMex restaurant at a nuclear strike base on the fourth of July during a lightning storm.

1. mass deaths are not going to correct earths rotation

2. not telling anything there was an earthquake isnt going to prevent them from finding out, because we all know now don't we?

3. not telling anyone about the incoming tsunami wasnt a very long lived secret either

even if it was some alien conspiracy, you could have warned everyone about the wave coming in very easily, leaving the alien part out.. and noone would have questioned it

You can conclude that because you think with a rational mind. Not all people in power have good intentions. There are many leaders that view their public as expendable puppets.
