Investing in Real Estate (fourth edition) is an excellent book to read if you're thinking about renting property out to tenants. Real Estate IMO is the best investment out there, especially if you know where to buy. Good luck dude :thumbsup

here's a link to the book http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...books&n=507846

my wife is just finishing up her real estate licensing course and we are about to dive into this head first

we are not touching the rental world though, fuck renters...too many laws in their favor and not in the owners favor

we are just going to buy a bunch of property and hold on to it til it increases in value

atlanta is hot right now and only getting better...the house we are renting right now was bought a little over 10 years ago for $63,000 and is now valued at $376,000....there are neighborhoods in town that are climbing like this one was 10 years ago

My father does this, in '05 hes looking at flipping over 16 houses he bought in '04 and bringing in six figure profit.

I had the chance to get in, in '04 and gotten 2 of my own houses but I hesitated and I missed out on $60 large which wouldve been made in 3-4 months and wouldve involved almost no work at all. All that was required was a $10k deposit total for both houses.

In June/July I'm heading back to FL and will be partnering up with his corporation and doing it in my free time.

Its actually a really good business to be in, requires almost no work on your end, if you let the realtors take care of it, and even with their commission, you still make out pretty well if you know what youre doing.

I couldnt believe it about 2-3 months ago when I heard he'd just bought 10 houses in one day. :pimp

I do it all the time. I usually flip them instead of keeping them. If I would of kept all the ones I have sold, I would be worth...$$$$$$$ More.

Better to keep it them you can.

Damn dave that's sad. So I guess you would be worth $263 million instead of $259 million. That's a hard life you live man, I don't know how you do it.
