connections are getting faster and most of the content out there is so 56k

insert sell, produce or use where it's missing if it bothers you

HDV cams are out now but I doubt most content will not be shot on them for at least another year or 2. I have one and shooting everything on HDV and then downconverting to DV before I edit. The reason to shoot higher definition at this point is to be ready for the time when consumers will have the TVs to appreciate it. I also do everything in widescreen but still frame so it looks ok if I do a 4:3 center cut. This is how many TV shows are framed.

I just made a Mailbu sunset video and it looks gorgeous on a big plasma :thumbsup

Which one are you shooting with? The JVC or the Sony?

The Sony. Nobody took the JVC camera seriously because it was a one-chipper.

What sucks donkey balls is that the aftermarket batteries for the older Sony DV cameras don't work on the new HDV camera. So just another expense for anyone who bought those. :321GFY

So far I am doing it in-camera. I have head some guys who use Vegas 5 say it does a better job than the camera does.

hey you got a little snippet vid you can upload dawg? if it is not much to ask :)

i think you could even run it through a proxy, while editing.. so you wouldn't have to re-edit once you would like to switch over to HD.

on another note, do you have any example HD footage from the sony? i'd love to see how it looks.

HD for consuper pc's is gonna take a while to take off and i can see it already alot of people bitching about why doesnt it play , it runs so slow..

mim requirements currently for playing back hd content is a pretty decent computer, average joe blow at home isnt gonna be able to play it back.. as always with new tech this will take a while so just take note of your planning on putting stuff like this on your site it could cause issues for alot of peeps.. those freaking cry babies :)

I shoot only under private contracts with other parties. Good people that get shit done since 1996. The demo clip on that page is not reccomended for the faint of heart PC, however I have other tools I do not show in public that make streaming hi quality content possible.

I think surfers are at a point where they will welcome HD porn now. Almost everyone who joins movie sites has broadband video cards capablle of rendering high definition video.

Mind you the page is slightly out dated I am no longer side lining shoots.

I gave plenty of video guys in Los Angeles area notice to take me up on the deal that is explained within the text on that page.

Some deals were made other just passed it by.
I grew some and now have studio's available for almost any kind of content.
I stress "Almost" since I have my own limitations.

Ifriends/clickcash has HD content, but no hd promo materials yet. My computer does not like it much and my cpu load goes through the roof. I wonder what cams they use?

Razor burn for example really comes out which can be avoided.
Lighting is an entire new factor as well. It aint the same game as video, HD behaves very differently.

No, it is a DV cam. The reason I bring that up is because so many guys use the VX2100 and don't use any lights.

oh, but shooting in SD is shooting yourself in the leg at this point
