Thunderbird - Help

How do you set it up so that your filters run while you are checking your mail rather than having to hit "run filter" on your inbox?

Its fucking annoying and I wanna have this shit pre filter each time it checks my box..

Any modules or something for this?

To use that sweet AI Junk Mail filter:

tools>junk mail controls>adaptive filters>enable adaptive junk mail detection

as far as the filter filters, i haven't really had to use them. i set one up and it seemed to be automatically enabled after set-up. we'll see how it works.

but if you just use the junk filter, all you have to do is click on a new bad email in your inbox, then click the junk icon on the toolbar and then stuff from that address will forever go to wherever you set it up to go (ex: trash folder)

You don't really need filters if you have the junk mail filter trained.

I use thunderbird and just checked. mine filters auto, and as far as I could tell there is no setting to turn it auto. or off. Do you have the latest version?

I would actually recomend eudora. I have used it for years no problems.
