sigh, switched from opera to firefox

my opera browser is locking up like crazy lately so i'm giving firefox a full test now.

The way this thing uses tabbed browsers is different from opera, going to take some time getting used to it.

firefox is great but the average internet user still use IE and AOL browsers. :)

justfreemovies 01-01-2005 10:18 PM

i noticed firefox kinda stuns up if you leave a window open for a while and then try to go back to it
:( but other than that better than ie in every way so far
basicly netscape that looks like ie lol thats my thoughts on it

dasexi1 01-01-2005 10:19 PM

just give it a week, and you'll love it I don't know why I didn't switch sooner

Illicit 01-01-2005 10:21 PM

firefox will be mainstream soon, then we will have to all go back to IE to get away from the malicous firefox spyware that gets written

I loved opera, it was FAAAAAAST bot now it just locks up too much

The Sultan Of Smut 01-01-2005 10:28 PM

I've never tried Opera and I don't see the need to since Firefox provides everything I need. I was about to purchase it a couple of years ago until I tried Firebird v0.6 and have never looked back :)

Opera crashes sometimes but I just don't want to jump over to Mozilla :D

cool how do you like it so far?

KRL 01-01-2005 11:28 PM

I liked Opera for a while but noticed with recent versions it had a tendency to lock up. I think that is why they built in the feature which reloads all the windows you had open prior to crashing.

Firefox flys faster than Opera and IE. It also is the simplest layout and provides the most screen space. It isn't crash prone and I've had 2 digits of windows open without a problem.

I think this year you will seen a steady erosion of IE"s market share.

sigh, switched from opera
you're on the right track
now switch from firefox to maxthon and then to k-meleon

k-meleon is by far the FASTEST browser

my guess is that the next version of IE will be petty damn good too

well, we'll see
