OK then,

I have run AVS sites for a bit and doing ok.

I want to start my own real paysite.

I think ccbill is best.

But do I need anything else?

What I mean is, will ccbill generate the passwords or do I need to do that myself.

At the moment I use ProAdult, who like most AVS systems deal with passwords and security.

So do I need anything else or any other services?

you need content that will first need to be be approved by visa and a 750 registration fee. And ccbill generates the passwords. You will need to buy password protection software also.

As I am in the UK, I do not think I have to pay the $750.

What is a good password protection software to buy?

its very easy to build a Paysite with ccbill.. they'll provide processing and they'll pay your affiliates . Like BVF said you only need the content, the visa fee and a good anti password trader software.

Why do some firms not use it?

I guess other firms may be easer to go with or cheaper. But ccbill seems like a pro firm, and people seem happy to sign up with them.

But you do not have to pay out $750.

I prefer to pay 16%.

If you were actually smart you would know the $750 is not a cost its an investment, and if you had a proper business plan for paysite revenue you would see the 16% would cost you more in the long run than the initial $750

yes 2,5 % can be alot.. I liked it too that I don't have to pay $750 and can start paysites :)

If your from the EU you have to choose the EU option which is no $750 but a higher processing fee. If your from the US you also have no option you have to pay the $750 but you get a lower processing fee. Unless you start making businesses in other countries to get around it. Which is definatly an option if you are doing decent sales and want to lower the fee

I live in Israel, so i also using EU fees, and bilive me, that i am losing soooo much money with this 16.5%...if your sites make a good $$, you will see how much you are goding to lose from that fee.
