    Pricing for exclusive content.

    I just wanted to say that the majority of the content providers who shoot exclusive solo girl content are shooting themselves in the foot....and others as well.

    Yesterday I quoted a guy a price for 50 exclusive sets. The price I quoted was roughly 55% off my normal rates per set. As it turns out...Somebody else offered this person a similar deal for 70% less than my offer to him.

    Now, I don't mind not getting that business...But I just don't understand the stupidity behind these prices. Either they are producing in a foreign country for pennies a set, not paying the models, or they are not making any profit. Maybe that's why so many content providers spam these boards every day.

    This was the response after they received my quote.

      I know alot of sites won't pay shit for hardcore video but 120 a set isn't real bad. It depends on how many images per set. Any price under 5k for fifty sets is BS.

          AaronM we have spoke about you doing custom shoots for us and for what you do it's very much in the ballpark of the other top content shooters.

          You offer alot more the the "average" shooters and IMO is worth a few hundred bucks more. The old saying holds true.... "You get what you pay for"

              It happens with all types of content production. The people purchasing content for pennies are shooting themselves in the foot as well.

              If they were prepared to pay a reasonable figure for content they could build up genuine long term relationships with quality producers. Instead they go for the cheapest they can get from producers who can't survive financially.

              The end result is that they waste time looking for a new provider every time they need new content because the guy they used last time is out of business. You would think that they would learn their lesson but some of them never do.

                  some of these providers are morons.... it's turning into the 'designers' market issue... people doing it for too cheap, making the good ones look bad..

                      Seriously though - more often than not...cheap prices goes hand in hand with shitty service. I wouldn't be surprised if that guy get's back in touch with you fairly soon. Sooner or later he'll get tired of all the bullshit that goes along with cheap prices

                              yup... lots of foreign shooters have really driven down the costs... and with images.. tehy don't even need to speak english.. so its that much easier to shoot over seas... outsourcing of content to foreign lands.. lets blame GWBUSH ;)

                                  Cracks me up on some the prices I've heard 'wanna be' producers pumping out stuff for. We've had shooters rent our studio or house, and of course I find out what they're getting for the shoots...enough to pay the talent, the rental and a few hundred bucks.

                                  Thing is they're okay with doing 3-5 shoots like that a week. They don't have any staff, any overhead, so 750-1000 a week is okay for them.

                                  Our going rates for hardcore reality are 2000-3000, depending on talent, degree of difficulty, how much editing, encoding, stills, teasers/trailers, etc.

                                  Been that rate since we did the 1st episode for MilfSeeker almost 3 years ago. My costs haven't changed and neither have the prices to customers.

                                  Don't worry Aaron, people like us always have plenty of biz, let the new guys have a few cookies too

                                      I agree. We have a dollar figure that we will never go below for custom exclusive. Otherwise its a waste of time.

                                          $120 per set sucks. I wouldn't pick up my camera for that.
