Why the fuck are news anchors excited reporting death?
"Deathtoll is NOW ALREADY OVER 120,000 ..." .. I know they're reporting news, but it's pretty desensitizing to anyone / the nation watching. :(

Devastation excites the viewing public as well.

Because the editorial sensibilities (what stories get told and how) of most US news organizations have been so distorted by illogic and amorality in the last few years that the "puppets" who sit in front of the cameras have lost their humanity.

because this is one of the biggest news stories any of these assclowns will ever report on.

big news story=ratings=money=excitement
|
It's mostly sad because of everyone's seen it all before, just in movies, so for a lot of people it just ends up being 'not real' when it does actually happen, unless of course you're directly affected by it.. such as 9/11 in the US.

if it bleeds it leeds is the maxuim for TV and the press. used to work at a news station. on the slow days those guys would be prayin' for a high rise fire or anything deadly

That is the only way they know how to report...
|
even when theres not a terrible disaster like the recent one the news will just look for death and negative shit to report on. The thing that gets me is that if thats what they are looking to report on all the time then obviously theres an audience wanting to see it.
