I never realized the domain registration market is that large that GoDaddy could see $2 million on an ad as a worthwhile investment. Wow.

hotjobs bet their entire years revenue on a single ad in the superbowl - look how much they sold for. :)

That's right, I forgot about that one. I remember there were several other tiny dotcom's that rolled the dice with an ad that was more than 100% of their annual revenue a few years back. They actually got so much related press from the fascination people had with the story that it was probably worth it (well except their business models were losers and most folded).

Damn looks like their doing pretty damn well. :-)
