Its my the most favourite music group and for me Mr. Andersoin is never dying legend.
I love song "strange avenues" from Rock Island album + Heavy horses is really piece of art.
Btw that bouree song is originaly composed by Mr. J.S.Bach

Its not thier original name - Jethro Tull was an UK developer of agricultural equipment from 18century I think.
That best metal grammy award was given for Rock Island album - I will also never understand that :winkwink:

Yep. He invented the seed drill... that gadget which plants seeds in rows at the right depth.

And to others, yes the band is alive and well 36 years on and still doing about 100 concerts a year. As far as I know "Rupi's Dance" released in 2003, is Ian Anderson's latest album.

J.Tulls were on the top the same time as Led Zepellin - thier the best years are 1971-1977 I think.
Try some of their album from that time - its interesting music , no easy compositions , variouse rythms but always a feell of strong melody.
Also the way Mr. Anderson sings is nothing ussual - he is no Frederico Bulsara but his technique is unique its way.

WOW ... and I thought I was old skool.

I tend to lay the beast to rest, forever ... going back for me is either reading a history book or listening to last years house ... 60's & 70's no way, Jose!
