The tsunami only killed people - animal experts are wondering...

According to a danish newspaper there are no signs of dead animals after the tsunami .. it's seems like all the animals managed to place themselves in high located places before the wave came...

In the biggest wild life park in Sri Lanka not a single dead animal have been found (I asmume that the park was flooded)

Animals are fucking mysteries... leave your dog 50 miles from home and after a couple of days it returns... have a tsunami coming and all animals climps into trees and on top of hills just before it arrives..

TheFrog 12-30-2004 06:46 AM

Damian_Maxcash 12-30-2004 06:48 AM

They have serious scientific programs in China for predicting EarthQuakes with Snakes

And I was in a 7.1 quake in New Zealand and my 2 cats were manic for about 2 hours beforehand.... Its amazing

VeriSexy 12-30-2004 06:49 AM

Animals have a sixth sense and they know when danger is coming.... :2 cents:

I actually didn't think of it that way, but yeah.. this would too mean that animals would be the survivors when the "big one" comes.. l

One of the interviews I saw the guy said there were dead dogs everywhere. Maybe they aren't considering domestic animals??

ADL_JD 12-30-2004 07:05 AM

No doubt that a fuck full of animals lost their lives.

biskoppen 12-30-2004 07:09 AM

I think they mean wild animals .. animals with all their instincs left .. or something :)

swedguy 12-30-2004 07:10 AM

Like I said before. Mother Nature is trying to restore the balance. The only thing we're causing in nature is imbalance.

Platinumpimp 12-30-2004 07:13 AM

Are you gonna grab the gun or shall I do it? :upsidedow

Screaming 12-30-2004 07:17 AM

animals listen to that inter voice and gut instinct that humans tend to ignore and they are far less involved with life and pay attention to things in mother nature

Vitasoy 12-30-2004 07:20 AM

Aren't all animals in zoos stuck in cages?

Did you see the elephant video? That elephant got the mother fucking fuck off that beach. He saw that first wave coming in and took off, running 30mph. He is probably the only thing that was at the waters edge that lived.

The pictures I've seen look like closely populated coastal areas. Just how many wild animals are running around tourist resorts?

Entropy 12-30-2004 07:42 AM

Animals probably think humans are so stupid.

DarkJedi 12-30-2004 07:42 AM

"We're smarter than everybody, even white people! Hey, where are all the animals going?"

:1orglaugh

DarkJedi 12-30-2004 07:43 AM

Wrong.
The last time the planet was experiencing global warming was in the middle 1500's. No SUV's, no GWB, no Haliburton then. So how did it get so hot then?
The poo from Henry 8's horse?
You give man too much credit for thinking we can influence the Earth !

Shoehorn! 12-30-2004 08:30 AM

Animals are crazy like that.

Trixxxia 12-30-2004 08:32 AM

biskoppen - they were mentioning that considering the amount of animals/pets in the surrounding areas, there were little animal deaths & it had scientists baffled. (this was being reported on CNN too)

lol

It's called the carbon cycle my friend, and simple logic tells us that pumping billions of tons of carbon into the atmosphere will indeed have an effect.

On top of that, slash/burning of old growth forests also has a HUGE effect on the carbon cycle ...

Not only are we taking away a natural carbon dioxide filter (a tree), we are then burning it and releasing all of the carbon which it had taken out of the atmosphere over the years.

Yep, We're fuckin' shit up pretty good.

:2 cents:

Phoenix 12-30-2004 09:06 AM

i think that most animals dont hang out at the beach all day...so most of them were inland and since they spend alot of their time hiding from man..and other predators..they were most likely in a safe place..soemwhere h igh..they can keep a watch on things.

Kevsh 12-30-2004 09:12 AM

Besides the zoo and housepets, in which I assume they have a headcount, how exactly does anyone know no animals are missing?

Vitasoy 12-30-2004 09:24 AM

From no dead bodies I guess

CharlieBrown 12-30-2004 10:23 AM

i saw a newspaper article about 3 people saving themself by grabbing a big python snake that swam by, wich dragged the people into safe ground :Oh crap

What does global warming have to do with earthquakes?

Yes, we influence nature in many ways. This post could get very long, but I'll keep it short and sweet.

We are killing anmials at a faster rate than ever. We're emptying the oceans at a faster rate than ever. Among other things. That's causing an unbalance in the nature.
