look on the brightside. at least she won't have to clean the roof

HammerTime33 12-29-2004 06:29 PM

Hopefully she has homeowners insurance. Maybe act of god car insurance?

Sucks though either way, best of luck to Granny !!

iwantchixx 12-29-2004 06:31 PM

that looks like a pretty weak roof. I'm shocked it stayed up as long as it did.

brand0n 12-29-2004 06:48 PM

that so sucks dude.

Well actually the bright side is she wasnt out there at the time. Roofs can be fixed. Grannys hit by roofs are a lot harder to fix.

MaDalton 12-29-2004 06:51 PM

was an ugly car anyways :winkwink:

btw - is there a chance you bring Ashley, Alica or Skye with you next week? :)

hyper 12-29-2004 06:54 PM

about a 3 inch deep dent in the rear roof where it meets the vinyl. Probably about a foot in circumfrence. I know from a little experience I have with insurance places, they like to total cars that have damaged rooftops. Something to do with structural integrity or whatnot...

Would hate to see a brand new corvette engine with 3k miles on it get trashed over a stupid fucking dent on the roof.

Kalifornia 12-29-2004 07:59 PM

that sad

sickkittens 12-29-2004 08:00 PM

That sucks...I was expecting this thread to be a joke.

Spunky 12-29-2004 08:02 PM

Nice car...too bad about the roof

beemk 12-29-2004 08:03 PM

damn that really sucks. i hope you didnt build that, it doesnt look to sturdy to begin with.

r3ap3r 12-29-2004 08:06 PM

That really sucks. Too bad for the car. That is one pimpin ride.

chaze 12-29-2004 08:15 PM

Neh it was time to upgrade, insurance will hook her up.

That's why we pay for that crap, I have paid about 25 thousand in car insurance and have never used it once.

Hell maybe more.

abadfish 12-29-2004 08:21 PM

Blame the shotty construction, not the snow.

AmeliaG 12-29-2004 08:23 PM

Oh my :warning

the engine got damaged by that?

chodadog 12-29-2004 08:27 PM

That is a pretty flimsy looking car port. A well constructed one should be able to hold whatever snow would build up on top of it over winter and then some.

Platinum Doug 12-29-2004 08:44 PM

Aww, jaYMan, so THATS what a "carport" is! You learn something new every day . . . ;)

J/K

Hope your Grams okay!

wargames 12-29-2004 08:44 PM

That sucks

tungsten 12-29-2004 08:46 PM

sucks ass dude, hopefully it will all get covered and everything will get back to normal

Semi-Retired-Dave 12-29-2004 08:47 PM

That sucks man. Sorry to hear. Your grandma must be pissed.

blazi 12-29-2004 08:56 PM

luckily the car was empty when the roof collapsed though!

Yup... It really wasnt much snow at all.

pornguy 12-29-2004 10:07 PM

I parked under the second floor deck, and at about 3am last night I heard a BOOM. I jumped out of bed and ran to the front window, but lucky for me the deck was still standing. I have no idea what the boom was. But the winds were blowing in off the Pacific at about 60mph.

hyper 12-29-2004 11:16 PM

you can always see if you can buy it back..

you'll get a salvage title and can have the roof replaced

VeriSexy 12-29-2004 11:36 PM

Man that sucks, hope insurance will cover it :Oh crap

Vitasoy 12-29-2004 11:42 PM

Damn sucks for that car.

Sosa 12-29-2004 11:52 PM

damn that sucks ass. damn carports. build her a garage :)

D Flower 12-30-2004 12:12 AM

Oh no!! Your poor Gram. However, better there than her driving the car and a big snow/ice laden tree branch falls on it with her inside. I guess things could have been much worse.
