"It's coming again. Another wave is coming again" and people just sit there and watch.

Shit, if the wave was coming again, they all had a good 5-10 minutes to get in a building and up a couple of floors. Stupid human ignorance.

I really feel sorry for those that we're on the beach and didn't have time to run, or the poor people that had no place to go, but god damn all those stupid people with cameras and people running in the waves are (we're) dumb.

Yep, they were stupid but I gotta admit I would have been one of the guys with a video camera capturing the entire thing. I just can't help myself.

They just thought it was big swell, which is more than reasonable.
If the entire island went up in flames, I doubt they'd have hung around.

I guess they didnt have ANY idea what was going on. Why run if some big waves came along? I would have just standing there watched it all. If I were down there, I would be dead. Thats for sure
