(CNN) France to design new flag, says Jacques Chirac.
"The time has come for France to get a new face to the world. The flag has been a touchy subject amoungst the French for years. With the EU becoming stronger, we feel we need to tie ourselves closer to Europe."

French Canadian and French are not the same thing.

For instance, in Canada, Quebec is one of the larger burdens on the other provinces. In Europe, France is one of the richer nations in the EU.
