Anyone in Chicago?
Tony and I want to visit there for the first time in the spring.
We'd like to get a hotel in a suburb though. What are the nicest cities to stay in right outside of Chicago...about 20 mins or less from the city? Thanks! |
aurora is pretty cool :thumbsup
but i'd just get a hotel right downtown if i were ya'll |
grogan lol. :error

The Schaumburg area or Naperville area both have decent nightlife (still pretty lame as its the suburbs) and they are both about 15-20 minutes away from a casino. check out www.metromix.com and search around for things to do in the burbs |

I had stayed in Niles once...when I was in 10th grade. I was actually at a church camp believe it or not. :) I will definitely check that out! Thank you! |

plus its easier to get to a cubs game when you are staying downtown. :D no visit to chicago is complete without a trip to Wrigley. If you really want to stay in the burbs, but want to enjoy the city, stay somewhere near ohare or rosemont. You can take the subway into the city for a 1.75 compared to the 50 or so it will cost you on cabs. |

If downtown is out, then Rosemost/O'hare area is the only option IMO.
There are plenty of really nice (westin comes to mind immediately, hyatt is there.. others) hotels, and a bunch of lesser ones depending on what you're looking for. But really.. stay downtown. The prices likely are going to be pretty similiar, and you can walk/subway it to just about everything if you stay in the right place. -Phil |
